1. Brainstorm and Write Things Down

Grab a notepad and write down the various goals you want to accomplish by the end of this year. When I talk about various goals, I’m not just talking about your writing goals, but everything that you wish to achieve. Write down your goals for each category, be it writing, business, family or health, and pen down your long term and short term goals, you think that will help you in achieving your goals.

2. Look Forward to Events

Look forward to events that can be used as goal dates. Sounds immature, but it works well. For example – April 3rd is Good Friday, so how about launching your audiobook for kids on 3rd April? I know you would have to work too hard, but imagine how exciting it would be and think about the attention your works will receive. So plan accordingly!

3. Create a Dream Board

Create a dream board and write down your goals on it. You can decorate it with cut out images and words from magazines and pictures; you can also jazz it up by writing down the quotes that inspire you and make your dream board as beautiful and appealing as you can. Once your dream board is ready, place it somewhere where you can see it every day. You can also create a huge wall calendar. Every time you achieve a particular goal, fill it with doodles and stickers or simply give yourself stars, so by the end of the month; you’ll have your own piece of art.

4. Celebrate your Achievements

Every time you achieve a particular goal, be it small or big, celebrate it. I know after working hard and being under a lot of pressure to achieve your goals, everyone deserves to celebrate.
